This three part series starts with two workshops with the incomparable comedic actress Katherine LaNasa, and culminates in a musical theatre comedy extravaganza at The Red Light Cafe.
Workshop 1: September 18, 4:00-6:00
Workshop 2: September 25, 4:00-6:00
Showcase at Red Light Cafe: October 2, 7:00-8:00 (student call time is 5:30)
Voice Engineer students: included in your tuition
Students from other voice studios: $150
Tickets will be sold in advance for $20 and at the door for $25
Participating singers are expected to come with a comedic or character song memorized and performance ready. They will then be workshopped on body language and comedic timing.
Singers are encouraged to attend both workshops, but only one is required to participate in the final showcase.
The showcase, hosted by the Atlanta music venue Red Light Cafe will have professional light, sound, and videography.

A native of New Orleans, Katherine began her career as a professional ballet dancer and choreographer, after attending high school at The North Carolina School of the Arts. Later moving to Los Angeles, Katherine studied acting with Sanford Meisner. Her leading film roles include Jay Roach’s “The Campaign” opposite Will Ferrell as well as Billy Bob Thorton’s “Jayne Mansfield’s Car” opposite Robert Duvall, Kevin Bacon, and Billy. She can also be seen in Garry Marshall’s “Valentines Day”, “The Lucky Ones”, “Alfie” and “The Frozen Ground”, among others.
She is proud to be returning as Noa Havilland for the third season of "Truth Be Told" opposite Octavia Spencer on Apple Tv*. Other recent television series regular roles include “Imposters” for Bravo/Netflix, CW's "Katy Keene opposite Lucy Hale, and USA’s “Satisfaction”. Notable recurring television roles include Hulu’s “Future Man”, “Longmire” for A&E/Netflix, HBO’s “Big Love”, CBS’s “Two and a Half Men” opposite Charlie Sheen, as well as CW’s “Dynasty” starring her very own husband Grant Show. She is also proud to have played one of Jerry’s girlfriends on NBC’s iconic hit “Seinfeld”.
After many years of commuting between Atlanta and Los Angeles, she and her family recently bought a home here in Atlanta and are really loving their new digs!
