THE BIGGIES
- Please make all schedule changes via the online studio calendar at mymusicstaff.com. This is the key to controlling your own lesson destiny, so please make sure you are able to log-in.
- All cancellations/schedule changes must be made AT LEAST 48 hour ahead of time
- All lessons are prepaid using autopay at mymusicstaff.com.
- Do not come to your lesson if you are sick and there is any chance you are contagious. If you are sick and don't want to miss your lesson, we can do a lesson via the interwebs.
- If you need to terminate lessons, I require two weeks notice or two weeks pay.
IN GENERAL
- Lessons take place once/week in either 45 minute or one-hour time slots. During the school year, students have reserved weekly time slots. Individual time slots can be changed by going onto the studio calendar and cancelling your lesson.
- All students are expected to arrive to lesson on time, alert, with all assigned materials, ready to work/play.
- All students are expected to practice. For realz.
- This studio is a team. We work hard so every student can thrive. Sometimes lessons will go over time, go under time, or even be cancelled so that another student can get what he/she needs. The same will happen for you when you need it. Please be gracious and generous.
- This studio is a team. If another person needs to switch lessons with you and it is possible for you to switch with them, please do it. You will be grateful when met with the same kindness.
PAYMENT POLICIES
- All school-year lessons (August - May) are prepaid monthly or by the semester.
- For everyone's convenience, all payments will be taken automatically via MyMusicStaff.
- It is the responsibility of the client to input credit card information into MyMusicStaff.com and to keep the card current.
- Tuition is the same every month, even during holidays. We will take off one week for Thanksgiving, two weeks for Winter Break, and a week for Spring Break.
- To terminate lessons, either one month's notice or one month's pay is required.
- First month's tuition will also include an extra $50 registration and materials fee. This fee occurs one time/year.
ATTENDANCE AND MAKE-UP POLICIES
- It is the student's responsibility to manage his/her schedule via the online scheduler at www.musicstaff.com. This includes cancelling lessons ahead of time and managing re-schedules.
- Officially, no make-up lessons are offered - HOWEVER! You may reschedule as many times as you wish as long as *sufficient notice* has been given. If you find an empty spot in my schedule and want to reschedule OR schedule an extra lesson, go ahead and sign up for it :)
- What is "sufficient notice"? depends on the situation, right?. Please be courteous.
- All lessons cancellations should happen AS SOON AS YOU KNOW ABOUT THEM in order to allow other students to sign up for their spots and keep my schedule streamlined. Remember, this studio is a team! Help your fellow students by cancelling early! (for instance: when you receive your soccer schedule or your musical rehearsal schedule, go ahead and hop on the scheduler and cancel, even if it is months ahead of time. This helps everyone - including you!!! - be more efficient and organized.
- All school-year lessons will be completed by the end of May. Any lessons not scheduled are then forfeited. No missed lessons will go over into summer, and no refunds will be given.
- All scheduling happens through MyMusicStaff.com. If you need to cancel or reschedule, it must be done through the website, NOT by emailing/calling/texting/telling in person.
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Each student is expected to arrive at lesson mentally alert and ready to work/play. The more you put into this (your own voice, this voice community, performing, learning), the more you will get out of it.
Students should bring all materials with them to lesson. This includes:

- all books and assigned literature, including sight-reading materials
- a recording device on which to record your lesson
